Senior Libero Jessica Named McNeese's Team MVP
 
 
Jessica Strama Named Volleyball's MVP

Senior libero Jessica Strama was named McNeese State's volleyball most valuable player here Friday night at its annual awards banquet and senior Amber Click was awarded the Donna Bertrand "All That I Can Be" award.

Strama, a four-time all-Southland Conference selection, concluded her career as McNeese State's all-time digs leader with 2,148 and holds the Top 3 McNeese single season high's. Strama recorded a single season digs high with 689 this season, 597 in 2006 and 503 in 2005. She holds the NCAA all-time single match digs record after recording 62 in a match at Texas-Arlinton during the 2006 season. That same year she ended the season ranked 14th in the nation.

Click, a transfer from St. Mary's University, played two seasons and 35 games for the Cowgirls. Click posted a career high .750 hitting percent against Kennesaw State and three blocks against Prairie View A&M this season.
