Volleyball Team Defeats Samford In Five Games
Sept. 1, 2007 The Cowgirls defeated Samford in five games by the scores of 30-24, 25-30, 30-19, 26-30, 15-6 Saturday night. Jennifer Cook led the Cowgirls with 19 kills and a .385 hitting percent. Also collecting double figure kills was Lindsay Brooks and Alyson Jones with 15 kills and Lindsey Petzold added 12 kills. Sarah Cartie led the Cowgirls with 51 assists and Jessica Strama was credited with 27 digs. Earlier in the day, the Cowgirls fell to Coastal Carolina in four games (23-30, 29-30, 30-21, 26-30). Three Cowgirls recorded double figure kills with Alyson Jones leading the way with 15 kills. Also recording in double figure kills was Lindsey Petzold with 13 and Jennifer Cook with 11. The Cowgirls (2-3) will face Troy at noon Sunday. |
