BATON ROUGE--- McNeese State's Jenny Clay earned her third Player of the Week honor here Friday by being named the Louisiana Sports Writer's Association Hitter of the Week. Clay was named the NFCA's Co-Player of the Week and the Southland Conference's Hitter of the Week Tuesday.

Clay led McNeese State to a 5-1 record on the week while batting an amazing .824 with 14 hits in 17 at-bats. In addition, she posted six doubles, one triple, three home runs and nine RBIs. Of her 14 hits, 10 were for extra bases for an astounding 1.824 slugging percentage. In the final series of the week against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, she was only a home run short of the cycle.
