Krystal Hand is in her second season as assistant coach. Some of her duties include coaching the outfielders, recruiting, equipment manager, helping with field maintenance and the academic liaison. The former North Alabama standout was a four year letterwinner for the Lions (2003-2006) and was named to the all-Gulf South Conference twice. In 2005, Hand produced a .330 batting average with 14 home runs and set a single season school record with 45 runs scored and was named to the All-South Region second team. In 2006, she led her team with 12 steals and had a .249 batting average with 46 hits, four home runs and scored 28 runs. She is the career record holder with home run (31), runs scored (130), at bats (675), hits (195), games played (209), and games started (206) and was named to the All-Gulf South Conference twice. She was part of a team that won a school record 40 games and advance to regionals. The product of Palo Verde High, Hand was both a pitcher and outfielder. She helped the Lady Yellow Jackets to the quarterfinals in 2002 and was named to the All-Imperial Valley League in 2001 and 2002. In 2002 she was named to the all-CIF San Diego Section and Union Tribune San Diego Section second team and the all-Riverside County honorable mention team. She is the daughter of Bobby and Ruthie Hand. |
