Former Jennings High School state champion, Leslie Myers Whitney, is in her first season as a member of the Cowgirl coaching staff. Whitney joins the staff with a wealth of winning in her blood.

A native of Jennings, La., Whitney was a part of two state championship teams (1988 and 1989). She returns to Louisiana after spending the bulk of her adulthood in the corporate world. Whitney worked for Northwest Airlines for seven years, while spending four years in banking.

Whitney's responsibilities will include administrative work, budgeting, team travel, film exchange and assisting with guard and post play on the court. She will also assist with academics, recruiting, marketing and promotions.

Leslie is married to Jim Whitney, the father of four (Meg, Amanda, Kaitie and Kyle). She is the daughter of Pat and Theresa Myers of Jennings.
