Kelly (Greig) Durio, a former McNeese State point guard and Southland Conference performer, returns to her alma mater for her first collegiate job as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Cowgirls. She will also coach the guards. Donald Williams' first hire, spent the last three years at Sam Houston High School in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. During that time, Durio turned around a program that was 4-17 prior to her arrival and led the program to three consecutive playoff appearances. In her first season with the Lady Broncos, Durio ended a five year drought by leading her team to postseason play. In her second season, she led her team its first district title in 13 years. Durio, considered as one of South Louisiana's up and coming young coaches, was named the 2005-2006 district "Coach of the Year" and Southwest Louisiana Big Schools "Coach of the Year." In 2003-04, Durio coach at Maplewood Middle School. Durio prepped at St. Thomas More High where she was the starting point guard. She averaged 9.0 ppg., 3.0 rpg., 4.0 apg., and 2.0 spg. her senior season. She was a two time all-district and was named to the all-parish and academic all-state team. Kelly is married to Brad Durio of Elton, La. and he is employed by S.J. Welsh Middle School.
