McNeese will hold annual football coaching clinic on April 4-5

March 26, 2008

Head coach Matt Viator and members of his McNeese State coaching staff will be the guest speakers at the Cowboys' annual football coaching clinic, April 4-5.

The clinic will take place both in the Cowboy Room on campus and at the Best Western Richmond Suites in Lake Charles.

Registration is $40 and will take place at 5 p.m. on April 4 in the Cowboy Room and at 8 a.m. on April 5 at the Best Western Richmond Suites. A crawfish boil is planned for April 4 in the Cowboy Room.

The morning session on April 5 will be held at Best Western with McNeese co-offensive coordinators Tim Leger and Broderick Fobbs, defensive coordinator Lark Hebert, linebacker coach Mike Collins, offensive line coach Reggie Nelson and defensive backfield coach Lance Guidry speaking.

All will lecture on drills for their respective coaching areas and talks will begin at 9 a.m.

The afternoon session will be held at the Cowboy Room following a lunch there. Viator will talk on the McNeese offense at 1 p.m. and strength and conditioning coach Zeb Hawkins will speak on the McNeese off season program at 2 p.m.

A practice session starting at 3 p.m. on the A. I. Ratcliff practice field by the Cowboys, who will be in their first week of spring practice, will cap the program.

More information on the clinic can be obtained from either Leger (337-475-5222) or Hebert (337-475-5211).
