Kerry Joseph - now a Toronto Argonaut

Kerry Joseph traded to Toronto

March 6, 2008

Kerry Joseph, the former McNeese State quarterback who led Saskatchewan to the Canadian Football League championship only a few months ago, has been traded to the Toronto Argonauts.

Joseph was introduced at a press conference on Thursday.

This past season he not only led Saskatchewan to the Grey Cup but he was also named the CFL's outstanding player.

During the season he passed for 4,002 yards and 24 touchdowns and he ran for 737 yards and 13 ts.

Joseph, a native of New Iberia, was to have been in Lake Charles on Thursday night to serve as a guest speaker at the university's "Denim and Diamonds" function and he will also take part in the Cowboy Club/Lake Charles Toyota golf scramble at Gray Plantation on Saturday.

A member of the McNeese Hall of Fame, Joseph continues to rank as the No. 1 passer and total offense leader in Cowboy history.
