Zack Bronson is marking his first full season with the Cowboys after having come on board last spring. He will be working with the defensive backfield, mainly with the safeties.

Bronson is a former McNeese State all-American and MVP who was also a standout safety in the NFL for eight seasons. He played seven years with San Francisco and one season with St. Louis before retiring in 2005.

During his career at McNeese, Bronson led the team in pass interceptions three straight years and intercepted 19 passes. In 1993 he intercepted nine pases and returned them a school and conference record 253 yards. He also played on two conference championship teams and in three NCAA playoffs.
