Ryan Leger is expected to be used again in relief on the mound this season, probably middle relief. He's a three year letterman who appeared in 20 games last season.

2005 season: appeared in 20 games and started one but did not have a decision..hurled 36.1 innings...3.1 innings of one hit, scoreless ball vs Sam houston (two strikeouts)...2.2 innings of one hit scoreless ball vs Lamar

2004 season: did not have a decision in seven appearances last year...hurled 11.2 innings and struckout eight batters...pitched three innings of no-hit, no-run ball against Lehigh University

Pre-McNeese: led Vinton High to district, bi-district and regional titles during his career...earned all-state honors and was named MVP in his district....also MVP for small schools in Southwest Louisiana....in senior season he posted a 13-2 won-lost record and a 1.20 ERA... was 30-5 during his career and struckout 325 batters...hurled two no-hitters....had a .383 career batting average...also played quarterback in football for three years.
