He's set up to be the Cowboys No. 2 starter this season....he goes in with 16 career victories, which is 8th on all-time McNeese list...fast ball in the mid-80s and now also throws a cut slider....has pitched 244.2 innings and struckout 165 batters heading into season

2006: went 8-4 with and ERA of 4.88 in 18 starts...struck out 58 batters while allowing only 32 walks...had three complete game performances...second on the team in innings pitched at 96...threw two shutouts...had an opponents batting average of .266...twice named SLC pitcher of the week.....all-SLC honorable mention....won five of his first six games....8 strikeouts vs Northwestern State..started conference high 18 games

2005: missed entire season after undergoing Tommy John surgery

2004: posted a 5-5 record along with 4.32 ERA...won conference games against UT San Antonio and Nicholls State and had other wins over La-Lafayette, Marist (12 Ks) and Northern Iowa..led team with 84 strikeouts and ranked second in SLC (average of 8 per game)...pitched two shutouts
