Sept. 5, 2007

McNeese State track and field coach Brendon Gilroy has completed his coaching staff by adding four new members.

Lincoln London and Erik Whitsitt will serve as assistant coaches, Daniel Trosclair as a part time coach and Alan Foolkes as a graduate assistant coach.

London will handle the sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers, Whitsitt will work with the throwing events, Trosclair with the pole vaulters and Foolkes with the distance runners.

A graduate of Abilene Christian and a native of Trinidad, London has served as a volunteer coach at Abilene for three years and has also been the coach for professional track and field athletes including his wife Delloreen who is a nationally ranked hurdler.

He recently coached her to a third place showing at the World Championships in Japan. London has also worked with hurdler Danny McFarlane who won silver at the Olympics in Athens in 2004.

London was a quartermiler during his career, winning conference titles and earning seven NCAA all-America honors.
