AUSTIN, TX - An eighth place finish by John Jamail in the shot put led McNeese State athletes on Friday during the second day of the Texas Relays.

Jamail went 52-9 1/4 in the shot.

Placing 14th in the women's javelin throw was Julie Buller with a toss of 119-3 while Amanda LeJeune went 117-1 for 16th place in the same event.

Lindsay Brooks did not clear the opening height of 5-7 in the women's high jump.

At press time the men's javelin event was continuing. Cowboys David Richardson and Ben Chretien competed in that event.
