Zeb Hawkins has joined McNeese State University as the university's strength and conditioning coach.

The native of Simms, TX, comes to McNeese from Northwestern State where he has served the past three years as head strength and conditioning coach and the previous three as assistant strength and conditioning coach.

"We are very pleased to have Zeb join our athletic staff," McNeese athletic director Sonny Watkins said. "We know that our athletes will benefit from his knowledge and expertise."

A graduate of Northwestern State, Hawkins was a four sport letterman during his prep days at James Bowie High. He was a four year letterman in football, basketball and baseball and a three year letter winner in powerlifting.

He earned all-district honors in football as a fullback and linebacker and was named his team's most valuable player in basketball.

The McNeese strength and conditioning coach works with athletes in all sports at the university.
