Lake Charles, LA - The McNeese State athletic department will debut its new official website Monday (August 1).

Fans can tap into the site at www.mcneesesports.com.

Jonathan Howe, coordinator of events at McNeese, will serve as webmaster with assistance from the university's sports information director Louis Bonnette and assistant sports information director Pam Lafosse.

McNeese has partnered with College Sports Online to form the new website.

"When we launched mcneesesports.com last season as the site for our streaming audio, the intent was to use that as a springboard for the new official athletics website," Howe said. "I am extemely pleased that everything worked out and we were able to get the new site completed for this year. College Sports Online is the leader in college athletics websites and we are excited to be partnered with them in this endeavor.

"The main advantage of the new site is 100 percent control over content and advertising. Our SIDs will be able to update content anytime which will lead to more timely updates of game outcomes, recaps and other important news releases. Also, we will be selling ads to sponsors."
