June 15, 2007 McNeese State's Athletic Department will conduct a "Cowboy Roundup Tour" in Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas beginning Monday, June 18 through June 29, stopping off at six cities. The tour will feature members of our coaching staff from all sports and administration. This tour will give area media an opportunity to interview coaches for the upcoming season and fans an opportunity to meet and visit with coaches, purchase season football tickets, purchase McNeese sports merchandise and receive information on a new university program, "Partner with the Pokes." The event is free and door prizes will be given away at all stops. The tour will have stops at the cities of DeRidder, Lafayette, Basile, Jennings, Lake Charles and Orange, Tx. The first stop on the tour is Monday, June 18 at the Beauregard Country Club in DeRidder followed by a stop at the Petroleum Club in Lafayette on Wednesday, June 20. The first week's tour will conclude on Friday, June 22 at Little Cypress-Mariceville High School in Orange, Texas. The second week of the tour will begin at Basile High School on Monday, June 25, followed by a stop in Jennings at the Fairgrounds Multi-Purpose Building on Wednesday, June 27. The final stop of the tour will be at the Lake Charles Civic Center on Friday, June 29. SCHEDULED STOPS Monday, June 18, DeRidder, LA. (Beauregard Country Club) Wednesday, June 20, Lafayette, LA.
