Tommy McClellandAthletic Director
Tommy McClelland is in his third season with the university. He was named athletic director on March 19. McClelland holds both the bachelor and the master degree from Northwestern State where he was a football and track standout. The native of Basile, LA., served as a graduate assistant at Northwestern State in athletics and also worked at the Southland Conference office as an administrative intern, assisting with championship events.
Louis BonnetteSenior Associate Athletic Director/Sports Information Director
Louis Bonnette is the university's senior associate athletic director in charge of sports information. He is in his 43rd year as the SID. A native of Pineville and a graduate of Louisiana Tech, he is also a past president (two terms) of the Louisiana Sports Writers Association and has been the recipient of the LSWA's Mac Russo Award. He has received the Distinguished Service Award from the LSWA and was named to the Southland Conference Hall of Honor in 2007. Bonnrtte has also been inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, in the sports journalism division. He is a member of the McNeese Hall of Fame which he founded and serves as its chairman. He is active in CoSIDA and serves on its academic all-America committee. He holds the CoSIDA record for consecutive football games worked with 458 heading into the 2007 season. Sons Michael (LSU) and Matthew (Northwestern State) are SIDs. Among his many duties as SID, Bonnette will also help maintain the Athletic web site.
Bridget MartinAssociate Athletic Director for Compliance/SWA
Bridget Martin is in her fifth year as the university's associate athletic director and is in her eighth year as the coordinator of compliance for the McNeese State athletic department. She also serves as the senior woman administrator for the university. A native of Lake Arthur, Martin had served as the McNeese women's basketball coach before assuming her new role. During an 11 year period she served as head basketball coach for seven seasons and four seasons as co-head coach. She is a graduate of Louisiana Tech and coached St. Louis High (Lake Charles) to a state title in 1988-89.
Scott PendarvisAssitant Athletic Director/Finance and Business
Scott Pendarvis is in his second year and is in charge of all financial activities of the department, including budgets and sponsorship activity. Pendarvis was a member of the Cowboy Football team from 2000-2004, and helped guide the team to a National Championship appearance in 2002. He was named Captain of the football team in 2004 and was named the Southland Conference/McNeese State Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2003-2004. The Walker, LA native previously worked as an accountant for Langley, Williams & Company in Lake Charles before returning to McNeese.
Ryan IveyAssistant Athletic Director/Internal Affairs
Ryan Ivey is in his second season with the university. He will focus on game day operations, the internal operations of the athletic department, will serve as the Athletics webmaster and will help with scheduling. Ivey obtained a degree in sports management from Memphis in 2004 and is currently enrolled in the masters program at the university . The native of Mayfield, KY., Ivey was a four year football letterman at Memphis as a punter and holder for place kicks and played in the 2003 New Orleans Bowl and in the 2004 GMAC Bowl. He received to 2004 National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame scholarship award. He served as Director of Operations at the University of Memphis the past two years.
Pam LaFosseAssistant Sports Information Director/Webmaster
Pam LaFosse is now in her 19th season as the assistant sports information director at McNeese State. She handles sports information duties for all women's sports as well as helping with men's football, basketball and track and field. She will help maintain the athletic website. A native of Gueydan, LaFosse is a graduate of McNeese State and is a former Cowgirl athlete, having been a four year letter winner in basketball.
Pam McGoughCoordinator of Athletic Development
Pam McGough is in her fifth year with the McNeese Athletic Foundation. She coordinates the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts for athletic scholarships and individual athletic programs. A native of Vinton, LA, she was raised in Lake Charles, graduating from McNeese with a bachelor's degree in Marketing. McGough is an active member of the McNeese Alumni Association and served as president during the 96-97 school year.
Jim Murphy ATC, PTDirector of Sports Medicine
Jim Murphy is the athletic trainer for all sports at McNeese State. He is now in his 28th season at McNeese and is also administrator of sports medicine for Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He is a licensed physical therapist and is a graduate of the Texas Medical Center in Galveston, TX. Murphy has also been inducted into the Louisiana Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame and is a native of Springdale, PA. He has received the prestigious Jim Finks award for his accomplishments in sports medicine.
Deb KingreyAcademic Counselor for Student-Athletes
Deb Kingrey enters her 14th year at McNeese State and her third as the Athletics Department Academic Counselor. Kingrey spent 10 years working in the Financial Aid office and seven in the Allen Parish School system. The Tennessee native is a graduate of McNeese State University where she earned both her bachelor and master degrees.
